POC American Fusion Buffet & Sushi opens Second Location in Coral Gables

POC American Fusion Buffet & Sushi debuts its second location in the heart of Downtown Coral Gables at 2121 Ponce de Leon.  The contemporary 6,200 square-foot space with two seating areas and a bar is casual chic with booths and white linen-covered tables.

“Opening our second location in Coral Gables was the next logical step,” states owner Will Lin. “POC (an acronym for Ports of Call)  has the atmosphere and service of a fine dining establishment with the convenience of a fast casual restaurant at affordable prices.”
Executive Sushi Chef Kevin Z. ─   a New York sushi chef and artist who worked in Nobu and Sushi Samba ─ and Executive Chef at POC Johnny Hong Kong ─ the nickname was given by chef and restaurateur David Burke with whom he worked at Balthazar and The Oak Room in New York ─ have created a buffet beginning with over 40 selections of fresh sushi, sashimi and hand rolls,  a raw bar with crab legs, oysters, clams, mussels and shrimp, a carving station including prime rib, churrasco, grilled seasonal vegetables among others.
Next there is a cold bar with a number of traditional and Asian salads, and a hot bar with items such as Grand Marnier Prawns, Citrus Fillet Sole, Veal Osso Buco as well as other à la carte items menu,  sandwiches  and POC signature dishes like Wow Black Angus sliders, tortilla wrapped prime rib, grilled chicken paillard with fresh fig salad and feta cheese, Asian seafood ceviche.
POC’s  weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays offers an array of classic breakfast and lunch items including eggs, omelets, pancakes, fruits, yogurts, pastries, cheese selections, salads,soups and more along with sushi and hot/cold entrees from their regular lunch and dinner buffet menu. For an additional $7, patrons can indulge in bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys.
 POC, located a few blocks from Miracle Mile at 2121 Ponce de Leon, is open daily for lunch ─ Monday through Friday from 11am-3pm for $11.95;  dinner ─ from 5pm-10pm on Mondays through Thursdays for $18.95, 5pm-11pm;  Fridays and Saturdays for $20.95,and and 5pm-9pm on Sundays for $19.95.
